NOVEMBER 27, 2009: Selena O'Reilly is the
first person ever at Cobourg Tae Kwon Do to receive the Certificate of
Admiration
SEPTEMBER 26, 2009: Master Jonathan Field
competed at the 2009 Canadian National Golden Belt Karate Championships and
won 1st Place for breaking.
SEPTEMBER 10, 2009: Master Jonathan Field
trained with Master Chip Townsend(14 time ISKA World Champion) in the
afternoon at Cobourg Tae Kwon Do. Master Chip Townsend also taught a special
class to Master Jonathan's students in the evening. You can read about it at

AUGUST 2009: Cobourg Tae Kwon Do wins 2009
People Choice Award for Best Martial Arts School in Northumberland County.
This is the 7th year in a row for Cobourg Tae Kwon Do.
JULY 2009: Cobourg Tae Kwon Do's Team
Wolverine competed in various breaking and forms events at the 2009 US OPEN.
The world's largest and most prestigious martial arts tournament.

MAY 11, 2009: Master Jonathan Field is now certified as a Level 1 Kettlebell Instructor with Agatsu Inc. The largest and oldest Kettlebell Certification company in Canada. Master Field went through 16 hours of intense training. Topics included the proper use of the Kettlebells, how to teach properly, body mechanics, joint mobility exercises, how to create programs, and various other topics. All instructors had to pass an exam of knowledge as well as physical endurance and cardio tests where you weren't allowed to put the kettlebell down or you failed.
FEBRUARY 28, 2009: Master Jonathan Field
and Ryan Donnelly of Cobourg Tae Kwon Do competed at the 33rd Annual Ontario
Provincial Open Martial Arts Championships held in Hamilton Ontario. Master
Field won 1st Place in Traditional Korean Black Belt Forms and Ryan Donnelly
won 3rd Place in the 18-34 year old men's intermediate sparring.

OCTOBER 25, 2008: Cobourg Tae Kwon Do
donated 2 boxes of can goods to the Salvation Army which was collected at
Cobourg Tae Kwon Do's annual Halloween party.
SEPTEMBER 2008: Cobourg Tae Kwon Do wins
the 2008 Reader's Choice Award for best martial arts academy in
Northumberland County.
AUGUST 2008: Cobourg Tae Kwon Do wins the
2008 People's Choice Award for best martial arts academy in Northumberland
County.

MARCH 29, 2008: 8 instructors and students
of Cobourg Tae Kwon Do competed at the 1st Annual Guelph Olympic Taekwondo

NOVEMBER 9, 10, 11, 2007: Sa Buhm Nim
Jonathan Field became Master Jonathan Field and Ma'am Joyce Farrell became Master
Joyce Farrell. Both went to Toronto to test under world champion and
Grandmaster Veronica DeSantos. The grading started Friday night at 6pm and
ended at 9am on Sunday morning. Both are 4th degree black belt masters in

SEPTEMBER 29, 2007: Sa Buhm Nim Jonathan
Field, Kory Harper, and Ryan Donnelly travelled to Scarborough to the
Canadian Nationals. Sa Buhm Nim Jonathan Field got 1st place in breaking,
Kory Harper got 1st in breaking, and Ryan Donnelly got 2nd in sparring.

SEPTEMBER 1, 2007: Grandmaster John Dube
came to Cobourg Tae Kwon Do and tested Sa Buhm Nm Jonathan Field, and Joyce
Farrell for their 3rd Dan Kukkiwon Black Belts as well as Gayle Richards,
and Richard Bernier for their 2nd Dan Kukkiwon Black Belts.
AUGUST 2007: Cobourg Tae Kwon Do wins the
2007 People's choice award for best martial arts school in Northumberland
county for the 5th year in a row.

JUNE 20, 2007: On April 20th, Sa Buhm Nim
Jonathan Field, Ma'am Joyce Farrell, Ma'am Gayle Richards, and Sir Richard
Bernier upgraded their martial arts credentials by receiving their
internationally certified martial arts instructors certification.
JUNE 20, 2007: We raised a total of $2,457
for the Kids Help Phone with our charity demo on May 26, 2007.
MAY 9, 2007: Nine competitors from Cobourg
Tae Kwon Do competed at the 14th Annual Battle of Warriors International

DECEMBER 16, 2006: Cobourg Tae Kwon Do
held the 3rd Annual Tournament of Warriors on December 16, 2006 at its'
location on Spring Street in Cobourg. The tournament was a huge success. The
competitors were very competitive and put on a great display of their skills

OCTOBER 2006: Cobourg Tae Kwon Do has been
incorporated under Cobourg Tae Kwon Do Ltd.
OCTOBER 2006: Cobourg Tae Kwon Do has won
the 2006 Reader's Choice Award. This makes it four in a row. We want to
thank all the students and instructors for all their support.
JULY 28, 2006: Cobourg Tae Kwon Do has won

APRIL 22, 2006: Cobourg Tae Kwon Do
held a women's only self defense seminar to help raise money for breast
cancer research. It was a very successful day. We raised a lot of money for
breast cancer research and we sold out the number of spots for the seminar.

26, 2005: COBOURG TAE KWON DO WAS VOTED THE 2005 BEST MARTIAL ARTS CLUB IN
NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY BY THE NORTHUMBERLAND NEWS READER'S CHOICE AWARDS FOR
THE THIRD YEAR RUNNING BEATING OUT EIGHT OTHER MARTIAL ARTS CLUBS IN THE
AREA.
OCTOBER
8, 2005, SA BUHM NIM JONATHAN FIELD AND KYLE ROGERS OF COBOURG TAE KWON DO
COMPETED AT THE CANADIAN OPENS IN LONDON ONTARIO. SA BUHM NIM JONATHAN
PLACED 3RD IN OPEN MUSICAL FORMS AND KYLE ROGERS WON A 1ST IN SPARRING AND A
2ND IN FORMS.

SEPTEMBER 17, 2005 KYLE ROGERS OF COBOURG TAE KWON DO COMPETED AT THE QUEST
FOR CHAMPIONS TOURNAMENT HELD IN MAPLE ONTARIO AND WON 1ST PLACE FOR HIS
PATTERN.

AUGUST 27, 2005 FRANCIS AHN GRADED AND RECEIVED HIS TEMPORARY BLACK BELT
AFTER SIX HOURS OF TESTING.

EARLY AUGUST 2005, KELLY ZHENG BECAME THE SECOND EVER PERSON TO WIN THE
COBOURG TAE KWON DO CHALLENGER'S CUP.
ON
JULY 23, 2005 KYLE ROGERS OF COBOURG TAE KWON DO TOOK A TRIP TO LONDON TO
COMPETE AT THE POWER NATIONALS. THERE WAS NO ONE IN HIS RANK DIVISION SO
THEY MOVED HIM UP TO THE INTERMEDIATE LEVEL AND HE TOOK FOURTH IN SPARRING.

Championships for Weapons on Feb.26.2005
In
house tournament held on Dec.17 2004 at Cobourg Tae Kwon Do. Hosted by Sa
Buhm Nim Jonathan Field. The tournament went well, lots of smiles at the end
of the day. Everyone worked really hard and their efforts were rewarded with
trophies versus medals and ribbons which are usually associated with small
and in house tournaments. I believe the shi hi was a positive experience for
